Recycling

In 2010 St. Louis began implementing a new city-wide, single stream recycling program which benefits the environment and will save the city landfill fees. Large blue alley recycling containers and some blue roll-carts began delivery in 2010. The remaining rollcarts were delivered in August and September 2011.

Many people are eager to use the new program, and there are a wide variety of materials that can be recycled. By fall of 2011, all houses in the 24th Ward should be served by the single stream recycling program with weekly pickups. You can learn more about St. Louis recycling and refuse programs on the City’s website: recycling and refuse link.
